It was a fun project making this long cape for my niece. She wanted one because Elsa from Frozen has a long blue cape, she said.

It is a girl’s dream to be that princess of their favorite animated character. No doubt on that!

This cape is full with texture. It is one of the patterns required many different stitches. And it is more of an intermediate level crochet project. But I have tried to make it as simple as possible in my video tutorial.

The neckline is finished with ruffled edging. And I created two rows of zigzag pattern before the post and shell stitches on the bottom.

If you are going to make this cape, make sure to have enough yarn. The yarn I used for this project is a #4 medium acrylic from Craft Smart Value Stripe, and a 5mm hook. I used about 4.5 skeins of yarn for the child size (show in the photo). However, the length of the cape can be adjust to waist level or to any length you want.

The printable version is available in my Etsy shop Ravelry in 3 sizes, toddler, child and adult (teen). Please don’t forget to check out my shop for other printable patterns.
