Canada normally feels more winter-like after the new year. With more snow and the temperature dropped a lot more, to below -20 degree. This is the reason I am more focused on making hats at the beginning of the year.

Hat making is always fun and enjoyable no matter it’s a winter hat or a summer hat. When it comes to winter hat, I always having a hard time trying to find a stitch that has little gaps in between. The Cozy Bean Stitch Hat, which has already said it for itself, it’s made of bean stitches.

The bean stitch is one of my favourite stitches. It gives a nice texture and it is thicker than a double crochet stitch. The Cozy Bean St. Hat is made from the top-down and work in the rounds. Once it is wide enough to fit around the head then you can stop making increasing rounds.

The yarn I used for the project is a #4 medium, acrylic yarn from Craft Smart from Michaels Stores. Of course, you can use any types of yarn of your choice.

The Cozy Bean St. Hat is designed with 7 sizes from age 1 to adult X-large on the written pattern. The printable pattern is available on my Etsy shop and Ravelry.
